Camp Joe Levine
Camp Joe Levine is a Jewish day camp for children ages 4-13. Sponsored by the Jewish Federation of Fort Wayne, it presents a unique opportunity for all children to learn about Judaism, Israeli culture, history, and traditions. Our Judaica and Hebrew program is developed and facilitated by counselors from Israel. It is filled with creative games, humor, arts, and songs.

Additionally, Camp Joe offers elective activities, including Arts and Crafts, Lego Mania, Jewish Dance, Sports, and much more. Children enjoy swimming in the lake, building sand castles, making friendship bracelets, taking nature walks, and playing soccer and beach volleyball. They participate in fun competitions and creative programs with their friends.

Camp Joe Levine is a unique camp experience – our Judaica and Hebrew program is led by two Israeli counselors who are brought to our community by the Soul Train Organization.  These young people share with our campers their firsthand knowledge of Israel’s culture, language, and traditions. Judaica classes are filled with fun games, creative art projects, storytelling, humor and improvisation. The children learn about the beautiful land features of Israel, its history, and current events. They get exposure to Hebrew basics, taste some of the Israeli foods, and learn some of the Israeli children’s songs and dances.

Facilities and Location at Fox Island

We are pleased to announce that this year camp will again be held at Fox Island in Southwest Allen County. Fox Island’s grounds are full of things to explore! This 605-acre park contains the largest contiguous forest in the county, many fields, a playground, and a lake surrounded by the sand beach. Multiple trails that run through the preserve enable campers to enjoy the beauty of the park and to meet its many inhabitants. From the Bird Observation building, our campers will be able to view some of the animals living at Fox Island, including 217 species of birds, 13 varieties of reptiles, and 25 kinds of mammals, who frequently visit the area.

It is the best possible setting for your child’s perfect summer!
